The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

TAMPA BAY TODAY – MAY 5

Fillies are the order of the day in Louisville and we’ll stay with the distaff theme in Friday’s seventh for fillies and mares going a mile on the Tampa lawn.

And you can bet that E M’s Treasure Girl is going to be happy to be back with her friends, at her best trip. We are.

She held form last race when moved up in maiden allowances, a close-up, one-paced third, but it was her prior that gets us excited.

In her two-back race, she mid-raced moved, may have reached the lead between calls, dropped back, then was resurgent at the end for place, beaten a neck.

Low profile connections have been live at this meet and regular partner Villa-Gomez is up once again on the 4-year-old, very well spotted to break through.

Taking E M’s Treasure to win, no price restrictions, and key-boxing exactas with She’s So Bearish who likely will benefit from blinkers removal and class drop, and Lasix-improved Verifiable.
