The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Interesting finale to conclude the racing week in Hallandale, a one mile turf test for juvenile maidens–interesting because when was the last time value was offered on a Chad Brown trained runner?

The favorite is this two turner is deservedly Erna (5-2), who earned an excellent Thoro-Graph figure on debut, narrowly beaten by a return winner and Cherie DeVaux runners improve a second-time starters.

She will be a tough out with Saez but we believe Chad’s More Than a Diva (6-1) has more than a puncher’s chance to move forward in a big way in her third career start.

Her New York finale was her turf debut and she showed good speed throughout but was never able to truly flaunt it.

Under stout restraint early, she rallied nicely between horses in the lane but never found a clear path. Check out AQUEDUCT, OCT 22, Race 5 to verify…

Not long after, she shipped to her winter base at Payson Park and has put in a series of solid, scheduled drills and appears set for her best go now. Nicely drawn inside, she goes first-time for Tyler in this spot.

We’re betting More Tan a Diva to win at 4-1 or greater, and an exacta box with Erna.
