| X Marks the Spot Nineteen years after its initial debut, the XFL has finally returned. The AAF was a tragic falling star, burning brightly momentarily before shortcomings led to its demise. The AAF provided real, actual football before extinguishing due to financial and leadership instability. Hopefully, the XFL will survive more than a season. Major rule changes abound, including a 3-point after touchdown option, tricky kickoffs, a double forward pass, a 25-second play clock and more. The 10-week schedule kicks off today on ABC and Fox TV.
