The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Today’s Gulf feature, the Powder Break Stakes, is certainly on the proper Tapeta surface given the amount of rainfall this morning, expected to continue sporadically throughout the day.

If there’s anyone on the backside hotter than Saffie Joseph, I’m sure I don’t know who it is as Joseph, a perennial leader, brings a (18) 7-1-5 slate through Thursday’s races.

Angel Nedeshko (5-1) offers excellent value because she’s making her All-Weather debut but has enjoyed success at higher class levels.

Joseph is 22% effective going turf to synth and the Carpe Diem’s are very effective on the All-Weathers and switches to Van Dyke, aboard five of seven winners during his current streak.

Taking Angel Nedeshko t win at 4-1 or greater and boxing her with fast-working stablemate Batucada (4-1).
