Nothing very complicated about today’s Belmont Park feature, the Grade 3 Athenia going 1-1/16 miles on the inner turf course.

Simply Breathless (5-2), unlike her main rivals, has proven she can win at this level, having taken Santa Anita’s G3 Wilshire this June.

And just recently she won a show photo after first getting bottled up before the field started it’s uphill journey in the Kentucky Downs homestretch. It was her first run in two months.

Subsequently, she had three stamina inducing workouts at Keeneland, she will ship here to get the money, her seventh different race course in her last seven starts. Now that’s confidence.

We’re taking Simply Breathless to win, no price restrictions, and key-boxing exactas with the sharp, tactical Sweet Bye and Bye (7-2) and always-trying Andina del Sur (9-2).

YESTERDAY: Torch of Beauty, it turns out, was compromised by her wide draw, fourth. Then again I knew that going in, didn’t I…
