The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Without question, Ruben Sierra has done excellent work with Heir to the Road (5-2) who is primed to rebound in the Saturday feature in Hallandale.

Since taking over the training in March, the flour year old Do the Road filly showed incremental improvement and delivered a breakthrough performance under these conditions July 9.

Returning at a higher grade with a mini-stretch-out AUG 4 she suffered through a terrible trip but showed a lot of courage, battling through the learn and earning the show in the final strides.

The only horse to exit that race to date won its next start so today, with good spacing, a return to her winning trip, and a sharp 35 3/5 breeze for this, she is set to rebound in this spot.

Sierra reached out for Lionel Reyes, en fuego the last two weeks, 2-for-3 for this barn during that span.

Taking Heir to the Road to win with no price restrictions and an exacta box with trip-loving Gitana (3-1).
