By HRI Foreign Staff — Uttoxeter may not be Cheltenham, but it will be an excellent place to kick off the road to Cheltenham as the Festival Trial Day makes way for the road to go official. One of the racecourses active on the 31st of January, Uttoxeter, comes just a few hours after the Festival Trial Day at Cheltenham and will be looking to give punters and betting diehards a few more to think about and note on their watchlist.

For those who want more than just cross-checking their lists, having sites like gives that extra boost to our chances with odds, predictions, and more useful tips. The track at Uttoxeter will be recovering from heavy snow, a bit soggy, with its going modified with divided bends, chase fences narrowed to the outside hurdles, and dolled out wide.

The seven-race card begins at 25 minutes past 1 pm, with the FOLLOW AT THE RACES ON TWITTER CONDITIONAL JOCKEYS’ HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, where Class 5 horses four years old and above, battle it out in just under two miles, for 5,844 GBP.

At 1:55 pm, the second race of the day sees the SUBSCRIBE TO ATTHERACES ON YOUTUBE NOVICES’ HANDICAP STEEPLECHASE, a run of three miles and about two furlongs, for 8,035 GBP. the participants will be horses that are five years and above, rated 0-120, and categorised Class 4.

The 2 pm races begin with the WATCH OFF THE FENCE ON MAIDEN HURDLE RACE, another class 4 affair, but this time for horses four years and above, running just under two miles.

The late 2 pm run sees the largest prizemoney of the day on the line, as the JANUARY HANDICAP HURDLE RACE sees horses of four years and above gallop each other for a 15,000 GBP pot, over a distance of two miles and just short of four furlongs.

3 pm comes with the SKY SPORTS RACING ON SKY 415 MARES’ NOVICES’ LIMITED HANDICAP STEEPLECHASE, a Class 3 run of two miles and just shy of six and a half furlongs, and the second-largest pot of the day at 11, 825 GBP, while the late 3 pm go sees the OFF THE FENCE ON HANDICAP STEEPLECHASE take center stage.

The race is a Challenger Middle Distance Chase Series qualifier and will cover two miles and four furlongs, with the prizemoney at 8,035 GBP. The only 4 pm start of the day will cover two miles and four furlongs as well, as the SKY SPORTS RACING HD VIRGIN 535 HANDICAP HURDLE RACE sounds off, with 5,844 GBP to be won.
