AT THE GATE-SUNDAY PLAYS

By Don Phillips Jr.

December 13, 2020

Best PLAY of the DAY:

RACE 5:

#7 Wicked Title was claimed by Rudy Rodriguez August 6th and ever since this filly’s overall production has improved greatly with three different jockeys during that period. She made her debut at this track, in this classification, and was a fast closing second. At 4/1, she seems almost too good to be true.

Best VALUE Play of the DAY:

RACE 9:

#1 Well Brush Mytooth has a consistent body of work in only seven starts and her two disappointments were going longer, including the Ruthless on January 26 when ambitiously placed. Linda Rice claimed her on June 10 and gave the Bodemeister filly rest until November 20 when she strongly re-rallied for third, trying this level for the first time. She should rate to win here at 8/1.
