The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

GOING GULFSTREAM – JULY 21

There is no question that Battle Cry (7-5) rates to be the favorite in the Friday feature in Hallandale. Racing in career form for Victor Barboza, she is the superior speed in this matchup.

Then Pacific Princess (3-1), who never fails to fire, is cycling into her best as well.

She has found a new lease on life since being introduced to Tapeta Track two starts back by Roger Laurin and the transition has served her well.

The five year old mare is tactical, can kick, boasts good company lines for the level and should be right off the favorite’s flank entering the stretch and ready to pounce.

A recent best of the week blowout around the dogs indicates that she maintain her sharpness to post a minor upset.

Taking Pacific Princess to win at early line odds or greater and key-boxing exactas with the favorite and She Fled the Scene (5-1), also in excellent form for the O’Connell/Jaramillo team.
