There may be faster horses signed on to contest the turf featured allowance sprint today in Oldsmar but none to compare the the trip and performance of last-out maiden graduate Silver Bank (7-2). Let me count the ways:
She broke out of hand, lugging in at the break and making contact with a filly inside of her, initiating further contact. Allowed to gather and drop far behind the field, admittedly in fast fractions, she moved up on her own with vigor but had to steady behind horses at headstretch awaiting room.
She found an opening–not an easy scenario when she moved between fillies to challenge, reached a full head of steam but a rival immediately outside her got the drop, but Silver Bank kept charging and caught her strides from the wire, galloping out well.
If she was good enough to do that, she should handle the class rise, especially considering it was her surface and course debut. See for yourself on the Tampa Bay Today Video on our homepage, JAN 18, RACE 10.
We’re betting her straight, an exacta box with the fast Jorge Navarro Gulfstream Park ship-in, Norma’s Love (2-1), and we’ll sprinkle into exotics price shots Silver Tunes (12-1) and also-eligible Free The Beast (10-1).
