It appears that trainer Mark Reid is taking his best hold with a new acquisition and first time four-year-old, Talkback.
Other notable firsts is that it will be her first start outside Florida off a lengthy layup and Reid brings her back for $25,000, cutting her claiming price in half. If ever there was time for a drastic drop, this would be it.
Further, this is also non-winners of 2 lifetime so she meets limited winners and Reid had to enter with a claiming tag to meet the race’s secondary condition. Alex Cintron gets the call.
Well drawn outside, she could be the speed of the speed in a field of questionable closers. That supposition was based on the fact that she’s very good out of the gate.
Go back and check her race in May of 2019. Breaking from the rail, she was a bullet from the barrier, faced stern pressure throughout and although she figured to tire and did, she kept trying to the end. Reid is a profitable 26% with new acquisitions.
Check out the Laurel Live Video, RACE 3 from Gulfstream Park, MAY 16. The price, given the open nature of this heat, should be fair and bettable.
