The Sunday feature in Hallandale is a preliminary optional allowance for fillies and mares going one mile on turf. It’s so wide open that none of eight entered are easily eliminated based on class and virtually the same performance figures.
The good news is that two horses love today’s dynamics and the course and distance they’re racing on.
Redland Rebels 5-2 is making her third start off a freshening likes this course (5) 2-1-1 at the trip and has raced very competitively at this level. The trainer-jockey team have been 36% effective in recent month.
However, High Lateen 5-1 offers better value. Also, a Horse for the Distance, 2-for-2, and Course, 2-for-2, has not taken a backward step on grass, has pole position and has better spacing.
Taking High Lateen to win at 7-2 or greater and an exacta box with her main rival.
