The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Leading trainer Claudio Gonzalez saddles the favorite in here. Track loving Buddy’s Run (5-2) gained his both career wins at Laurel and owns consistently faster performances figures, but what he lacks are wins at today’s trip. And one-turn miles at Laurel are not easily won.

Can’t Pass It Up (4-1) won half his four starts at the trip whereas he’s 1-for-12 doing anything else. And he likes Laurel Park with four exacta finishes in eight stats over this surface. But significantly, those distance wins were at one turn and Feargal Lynch rides him like he owns him, as they say.

Been using this phrase a lot recently but Thoro-Graph-wise this matchup is a jump ball. Each are on good ones and ran virtually the same figure in their most recent starts.

With thundershowers in the forecast, we will shade Can’t Pass It Up because he acts over any footing, the wide draw suits the dynamics well and would like you take take a look at one of the winning mile efforts referenced on on Laurel Park Live Video, Laurel race on DEC 14, RACE 5.

We’re betting Can’t Pass It Up to win, no price restrictions, and boxing the exacta with Buddy’s Run.

  1. Thanks for the free wager today John. Wednesday’s Tampa Bay winner covers the win and ex box. Nice call once agaIn.

  2. Think ya got the right plodder today, Mr. Pricci. Meets my criteria. Lynch is one of my two favorite jocks at the joint. Sorry to add the weight.

    1. Did believe in those things; if he’s good, he’s good, if not we turn the page
