BIG A’s WORST STINKIN’ BET

By TOP TURF TEDDY — The “Worst Stinkin’ Bet of the Day” will be in the 6th Race at Aqueduct.  The race is for 3 and up state-bred ladies at 6 furlongs on the grass; but you knew that didn’t you?

But you may have forgotten that #9 Forgotten Hero won her first 2 races after going bad back in May.  Then she returned in the slop in early September, showing nothing, then in her next two races led early and often, weakening late last out at 50-1.

But she was the only filly or mare in the that ran in open company last out and is back with state-breds ere.  Woukd love for the guy who makes the morning line at the Big A to give me a call (15-1); I’d be happy to give him a few pointers as I can’t believe the crowd won’t pick up on this scenario.

I’d be happy with 5- or 6-1 given she is my isolated number at $4.40-1. She’s not lone speed but meets mostly closers here. I suspect Irad the magician may take the wind out of her sails early, setting it up for A Little Faith,. But unless that happens, turn out the lights cause ’cause this party’s over.
