PODCAST: RANTS WANTED

First up: NFL road favorites are 3-23-1 UNDER before another road favorite role the following week (Kansas City Chiefs). Sleep tight and good night, Irene. This and more from this week’s Playbook Totals Tipsheet Newsletter:

Against The Spread Podcast

Rants are not only wanted, they’re encouraged! Victor King and I hosted the first Marc Lawrence Against The Spread football podcast for the season this week (listen to it hear). I got a little off tangent when the subject turned to Ezekiel Elliott and the excessively overpaid and spoiled athletes of today. It was nice to hear positive feedback from listeners that coming out on fire mad and kicking a few garbage cans was good to hear. That being the case, you can likely expect a weekly rant of sorts on the podcast moving forward. Whether you think its offensive, or it’s called for, let us know. We’d love the feedback.

NFL Football Fast Fact

Incredible, but true. From this week’s Playbook Football Newsletter: Since coming back as an expansion team in 1999, the Cleveland Browns have won their season-opening game ONE TIME, going 1-18-1 straight up in lid lifters. Yes, Baker Mayfield was responsible for the tie last year, but there are taking a giant leap of faith today in trying to overcome a stat like that. Be careful.
