KNOCK, KNOCK …

By Marc Lawrence — Week 11 of the 2020 NFL season is here, as we head into the final seven weeks of the 2020 NFL regular season. Every win becomes a lot more important in trying to lock down division titles or wild-card berths to get into the playoffs, while every loss can further dash those hopes. With the postseason field expanding by one team each in the AFC and the NFC to a total of 14, it has brought more teams into realistic contention over the near two-month closing stretch. Based on the current standings, the two AFC teams knocking on the door on the outside looking in would be No. 8 Miami and No. 9 Baltimore. In the NFC the No. 8 and 9 seeds would be Chicago and Minnesota respectively. To see the current ranking of every team prior to this week click here.

ESPN’s weekly poll finds Florida’s Kyle Trask as the current frontrunner, followed by Alabama’s Mac Jones, BYU’s Zach Wilson, Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Ohio State’s Justin Fields. If you didn’t notice all five players are quarterbacks, as have been nine of the last 10. Only Tennessee RB Derrick Henry broke through in 2015 to stop the onslaught of QBs.
