I like the three workouts in 22 days for Azisam in addition to the relevant information you posted.
Arguably has raced against better in the last three races in bluegrass country. In BBC addition has won on a wet turf.
4/1 is my target for value in this setup.
    Good luck

    1. GM The horse hovered around 7/2 to 4/1 cl in se to post time and I wavered about making the bet as I wanted 4/1.
I fell to the FOMO the fear if missing out syndrome and made the bet.😂

      1. All you can do is make the best decision you can based on what’s known at the time, J

  2. About your input on CDowns raising purse $$,I made me think how some tracks pay so much,or little for claiming races.Monmouth $ 10 clamers running for a $17 ,000 purse, while at BAQ same claimers for $ 30,000,But $50 .000 claimers running for a $ 57,000 purse!?! Shouldn’t horses running at BAQ receive a bigger purse, like some$ 70,000? Isn’t there a mathematical way to decide what he purses should be,at least for claiming races? Also what is the difference between $ 15,000 claimers running in different ( major league) tracks? If I owned a good claimer in a Monmouth barn, wouldn’t it be a worthwhile trip to try to collect NYRA purse money? How does one try to compare # s between similar claimers of different tracks? Shouldn’t a Monmouth horse be better than a comparable, same $$ level Aqueduct horse since it comes from a smaller, cheaper track? Same with speed numbers since smaller tracks are not as well kept as the Big Show ones….?😱😱 Simple example: if a horse runs 6F at 109.4 at Finger Lakes,he should beat his same level competition,at the same distance,at the Big A…
( Or am I missing something?)

    1. I honestly don’t know. Your proposal makes sense though i don’t know if purses based on running time is valid. Class matters, i don’t think Finger Lakes 1:09 4/5 is the same ais comparable comparable to same level downstate.

  3. Final time is one measure but comparing fast final times without pace analysis evaluates only the raw outcome rather than the race execution. How was the energy distributed?

  4. Basic question was : What are the Differences among horses running for the similar claiming prices in different tracks !?! The time was a secondary added indication whether the horse won wire to wire or came from behind,in a fast or slow track condition. Are all ($ 5 ,000- $ 60,000) claimers similar, from F Lakes to Delaware to Santa Anita ? A faster animal from a smaller track HAS to be,that was my ( 2 cent) logic…So why aren’t they being claimed ( as much)? They used to claim New Zealand and Australian horses yrs ago,why not from small American tracks? Cheaper ” shipping and handling” !! Another question :Can Quarter horses train to run 4- 5 F in bigger tracks? Has it been tried? ” Til next time…😇
