The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Interesting sprint feature to begin the racing weekend in Hallandale, an optional preliminary allowances dashing 7 furlongs on the main track.

When last seen, Nautical Star (4-1) was getting roughed up at the start of the Florida Derby, a Grade that that has produced four next-out winners. Clearly something went awry as this is his first run since APR 1.

Saffie Joseph trainee was put back in training at the end of June and has worked purposefully since, a series of bullets and near bullets to have him ready for his return.

Nicely posted outside, main man Edgard Zayas will be able to measure the action before committing. He has enough tactical speed to gai position and enough kick to mail them late. The dynamics and trip suit.

We’re taking Nautical Star to win at 5-2 or greater, and key boxing exactas with Horse for Course Big Martini (5-2, also exiting a key race, and Loco Abarrio (2-1), who improved big time since the Ron Spatz barn switch.

  1. Nice winning FRA calls at both GP and SAR today John. My two grandson’s will love watching the replays with me as they both will cash tickets for free ice cream out at the N.Y. State Park beach out in Orient Point in the morning.
