Sticking with the All Weather surface as summer continues in South Florida. Today’s feature is for sprint specialists on the Tapeta and it appears highly likely that early line favorite Nikee Kan (2-1) remain the choice ante post.
Recent form and the company lines dictate as much.
But Alizee (9-2) is currently fastest on the Thoro-Graph scale and we don’t want to overthink this. Not only did she move forward for Aubrey Maragh but continues to show the kind of specialist she is:
She’s 6-for-14 at Gulfstream and only 1-for-19 anywhere else. Further, she’s 4-for-7 on the GP Tapeta surface. What she needs to do in her 30-day return is to run that same race back to beat tougher here.
Check out that Gulfstream score on MAY 27, Race 6.
There’s enough pace, including the favorite, to set the table for her late kick. Clearly, Maragh claimed her at the right time, when the front bandages she wore were removed. She’s won three straight without then.
But price is key. We need, at minimum, 7-2 to back her against this group and will take quinellas with the favorite and Trevess (6-1) who has back figures under these dynamics to give her a punchers chance at a price.
