CHRB CITES BALTAS

By Newswriter — The California Horse Racing Board has charged trainer Ricard Batlas with 23 counts of violating the rule that bans the administration of race-day substances.

The incidents in question occurred during the period of April 15, 2022, through May 8. The entire complaint can be viewed on the CHRB website. The actions of Baltas employees were caught vias the use of surveillance videos.

According to the laboratory as UC Cal-Davis, detected was the presence of the medications Paeonol and Higenamine.
