Friday’s Gulfstream feature is fairly inscrutable with lots of possible scenarios playing out in victory depending on the circumstances. We’ll be taking–for better or worse, given early line odds, Pens Street (8-5) in the NX2/Optional $62,500 going a flat mile.
I thought the best race you could see is her win here AUG 6, Race 9. It was a very gritty 2-length score; on top of pace throughout, apply mid-turn pressure to lead, separate from the field, and then pushed home vigorously by Miguel Vasquez.
The chart noted bumped start, but it was very minor.
After that, she shipped to Monmouth Park to face better off short rest and raced one-paced going two turns. But after near three month’s freshening, a return to winning dynamics, a bullet blowout and a switch Jose Morelos.
Don’t know a lot about the rider except he probably blew him out for the race and recently is 3-for-6 and another money finish for the Crichton barn.
Proper level and conditions, good hands going well and it’s worth a straight wager but would sure be more interested at 2-1 or more, unlikely to happen. So a standard straight wager and key-box exactas with Starship Nterprise (2-1) and uncoupled mate, Helping Lisa D (15-1).
