WORST STINKIN’ BET – JAN 9

By Top Turf Teddy, The Prince of Pace — The “Worst Stinkin’ Bet of the Day” for Thursday, January 9, 2020, will be in the 5th Race at Gulfstream Park.

Teddy’s Tip of the Day:  “True heros never return…..”

Let me get all you pick 6 players started here with a single; not that he can’t be beaten.  My take on that exotic bet is quite different than most people.  When I feel compelled to play that wager, instead of taking a 4/5 shot as a given, that on paper can’t lose, will often single a horse that will pay a pretty penny, and then build around that horse winning.  You can’t get fat on small potatoes friend.  7-Hero’s Return loses Irad Ortiz, Jr., which will further bolster the price.  Irad may be sorry for getting off in Poughkeepsie today.  These young horses are resilient, and 2 months off in most cases means little, but 7-Hero’s Return’s absence may have contributed to no return at the windows for a 3rd straight time.  The crowd will be all over 3-Danzing Dunhill, the most likely candidate to hit the toteboard.  Don’t be a herowww, bet win place and showww.
