  1. dear john,
how are you doing. hope the saratoga meet has treated you well. as usual the stakes races have once again made that meet again.
i’m not sure of the exact number but favorites are winning at a fairly high percentage. john, i know you are not thrilled with colonial
downs because they dissed you, re trying to handicap races for them. john, colonial must be commended for what happened today
on closing day. all 13 race turf only card, 5 stakes races, although one had all maidens in it. the remnants of ida coming in all day.
they stayed on the turf throughout the entire card. john, how many tracks would do that, answer, probably one or none, maybe
ky. downs. , and of course colonial. jill byrne runs the show there, with a nice assist from jessica maquette. john keep up the good
work, let’s try to get together at gulfstream this fall or winter. yours in racing. mutuel mitch.

    1. Mitch, was not “dissed”: by Colonial. When I approached them on their return, it was their first season back after 3 years and budget already spoken for. That happens everywhere if you miss deadlines

As you might have noticed, I’m now a one-man shop and we scramble to keep up with goings-on ever day. I didn’t provide answer courage but did bet my money. Lost a P3. Bet winners of Oaks and Derby though missed both exactas.

The racing was great, per usual.

      Maybe next year…

Oh, happy to report that we will be giving Gulfstream video treatment weekends on selected day with handicapping coverage for three days each weekend, more on holidays. SO there is that. It will start week from Friday…

  2. hi john, mutuel mitch with 2 typos, sorry about that. it was a 12 race all turf card at colonial downs today. the track handicapper is
    jessica paquette.

    1. Yes, Jessica is very professional. What I had in mind was something a little different than the usual handicapping X’s and O’s…

      And no worries, typos happen.
