The Belmont Stakes takes place every year in the month of June with an estimated purse of $1.5million with the race also being held at the Belmont Park Course in Elmont, New York outside of the sprawling metropolis’ city limits.

The event also holds a North American record when Triple Crown winner Legendary Secretariat scored an incredible time of 2 minutes 24 seconds for the one-and-a-half-mile race with an astonishing 31 length ahead of any nearby competitors.

The Triple Cown as a whole remains as a must-have attendance for any major US racing fans who are since become further interested in placing any future bets ahead of the upcoming races that are often watched worldwide.
