| By Marc Lawrence — From this year’s Playbook College Bowl Stat Report: UAB’s Opponent Win-Loss percentage was a collective .391 this season, the weakest of all bowlers. The Blazers were also the only bowl team that was winless against the spread (0-5) against other bowl teams. It’s a Mad, Mad World It’s hard to fathom a baseball pitcher earning $1 million per start. Or a free agent player that finished 3rd in a league MVP race commanding $35 million a season. But that’s the lunacy that permeates MLB today. Coming on the heels of Stephen Strasburg’s re-upping with the Washington Nationals, Gerrit Cole’s signing with the New York Yankees and Anthony Rendon with the Los Angeles Angels, it’s safe to say the world has gone mad. Now, let me get back to making my car payment before I tune into this week’s NFL games. Sheesh. |
