Very much looking forward to Saturday’s featured 10th race in Hallandale and the return of undefeated R Adios Jersey (1-1) who seeks her seventh career score.
There are a number of changes to note, not the least of which is the trainer. R Adios Jerry was trained by Georgina Baxter to perennial Tampa Bay Downs leader Gerald Bennett.
Indeed, that’s where the Adios Charlie four-year-old has been training, a deeper surface than Gulfstream so fitness should not be an issue, even at seven furlongs where she’s 3-for-3 and distance of her fastest scores.
Bennett is not known for his success shipping to South Florida but in this case, useful to know that this filly’s first three career wins came at Gulfstream Park, two of her wins coming in open and not Florida-bred company.
You can watch any of her wins by why not her last at Tampa, her fastest and most impressive win beyond her maiden debut: Tampa Bay Downs, DEC 11, Race 4.
We’re taking R Adios Jersey to win, no price restrictions, and an exacta box with Don’t Get Khozy (7-2).
