GOING GULFSTREAM – MAY 26

Even if the field drew only a half dozen starters, the featured eighth at Gulfstream today is a listed stakes posing an allowance event with lots of talent signed on.

Flakes (8-5) competitive and dropping from graded stakes company, is a worthy early favorite. Then so might be Imonra (9-5) who is forward looking and a tad faster on the Thoro-Graph scale.

There’s no telling how good Party Favor (7-2), having run but once. However, the colt earned a competitive figure and now makes his second start for Todd Pletcher. He’s bred for the stretchout.

Now Kikilove (9-2) may be up against it but rates more than a puncher’s chance at fair odds. He’s won two as many starts here as all those favorite combined–four–and his recent half mile breeze in 47 1/5 was second fastest of 79 peers to work the week of May 20.

Getting weight from all, the outside post will give rider Morrison plenty of options and chances are the filly’s odds might tick even higher ante post.

We’re taking Kikilove to win at 5-1 or higher and an exacta key-box with Flakes and Imonra.
