Clearly, the recent Jose D’Angelo claim, Noble Dreamer (2-1), is a deserving favorite and most likely winner of today’s finale in Hallandale.
The four year old Noble Bird filly moved forward in her second start off the claim and any further advancement gets her into the circle.
However, we’ll take any value offered on the Gary Lee trainee Ala Turk (6-1) who is back in her proper spot here.
Going two turns at a 1-1/16 miles was an ambitious attempt to stretch out her speed. She would have none of it.
It’s not so much that she returns to her optimal trip (6) 2-0-3, but that she never took a backward step in any of her Tapeta sprints. Plus, she’s fresh going into this.
Betting Ala Turk to wi at 5-1 or greater and an exacta box with the favorite.
