The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Today’s Gulf feature to end the racing week is a but trappy–as in which is well meant and who might be using this 4-1/2 furlongs on Tapeta Track is a bridge race?

We’re in no mind space to guess here and don’t want to overthink this so let’s stick with what we do know in search of a price play.

Qualy (10-1) fits those parameters.

First, we’ll start with Saffie Joseph who’s won with six of his last 17 starters through Friday’s card.

Second, the 4-year-old Quality Road filly showed marked improvement sans blinkers, winning her last on Tapeta track in only her second synth start.

Better yet,, she made an incremental forward move, indicating more may be forthcoming. But the clincher is Skyler Spanabel takes the re-ride for Saffie, looking to improve that tandem’s slate to 5-for-10.

We’ll get paid to find out. Taking Qualy to win at 6-1 or greater and key boxing exactas with class proven Choose Joy (5-2) and interesting ship-in Glitter Up (9-2) for the Hills-Paco team.
