But the consensus opinion of 10 Las Vegas oddsmakers is that the NBA will be the first major American sports league to return to action, with the NHL and MLB close behind. When they do, however, it will most likely be without fans in attendance. To which avid Coffee Club regular Stormin’ Norman says, “Why not also put 45,000 mannequins dressed as fans in the seats? There could also be fake beer and hot dog vendors. Have piped in cheering, booing, and groaning, and laughter. Or better yet, do something really radical, yet sane, like having baseball wait until there is full testing and a vaccine to be sure all of humanity is safe.”
