The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

WHO’S ON FIRST?

By Marc Lawrence — With major league sports still on hold and looking to get back in play, the odds at BetOnline.com are -140 against the NBA and NHL playing a game by August 1. But the consensus opinion of 10 Las Vegas oddsmakers is that the NBA will be the first major American sports league to return to action, with the NHL and MLB close behind. When they do, however, it will most likely be without fans in attendance. To which avid Coffee Club regular Stormin’ Norman says, “Why not also put 45,000 mannequins dressed as fans in the seats? There could also be fake beer and hot dog vendors. Have piped in cheering, booing, and groaning, and laughter. Lamb is coming off a season in which he broke 26 tackles on 62 catches and averaged an incredible 11.0 yards after the catch per reception. The Cowboys’ steals didn’t stop with just Lamb – they continued to thrive on Day 2 with their 51st and 82nd overall picks. “The Cowboys are ripping the doorknob off this draft. Every pick they’ve made was much higher on the PFF (Pro Football Focus) Draft Board.” Cowboys Steal Of The Draft: Tyler Biadasz … Draft Grades: Playbook A … ESPN B+ … PFF A+ … Composite: A.
