WILL TIZ THE LAW RUN IN THE PREAKNESS STAKES?

HRI Foreign Desk Staff — Reports indicate Tiz the Law won’t run the Preakness Stakes, but that hasn’t stopped leading sportsbooks from publishing antepost odds on the horse competing at Pimlico.

Tiz the Law is 5/2 to win the race according to leading sportsbook aggregator website Oddschecker following the Kentucky Derby. https://horse-betting.pro/

Tiz the Law was 7/10 to win the Kentucky Derby, but struggled down the stretch, failing to overtake Authentic in the final sprint. The four-time Grade 1 winner has lost just twice in eight race starts.

Tiz the Law’s only other loss came in the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes in November 2019 on a wet, muddy track. Trainer Barclay Tagg claims Tiz the Law could be held back for the Breeders’ Cup Classic November.

Can another horse challenge for the Preakness Stakes According to trainer Bob Baffert, Authentic felt good after the Churchill Downs win.

time between the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes is longer than in previous years, but Baffert is keeping Authentic at Churchill Downs for the preparations.

Thousand Words and Art Collector are two horses that could challenge Authentic for the title at Pimlico.

Art Collector is third in odds heading following the Derby at 5/2, while Baffert’s second possible runner, Thousand Words, is 10/1.

Both horses could give Authentic a run for his money in what could be an exciting end to the Triple Crown.
