Either you believe or you don’t, and I still believe that War of Will is a good horse, the most talented horse in Saturday’s Pennsylvania Derby.
Is he the horse he was this winter and early spring? I have no idea. But I know he’s fresh, I have confidence in the opinion of both jockey and trainer and one of three bullet works I saw after the Jim Dandy was stunning.
Ad the price will be fair. Money Mike and Money Bob will get plenty of backing on ML favorite Improbable (8-5). And buzz horse, Mr. Money (2-1) seeking his fifth straight could even go favorite.
War of Will’s early line of 4-1 should hold and that will be our win play. In addition, we will key box him with the two favorites and add sharp, horse for course Spun to Run (8-1) to the exotics mix.
YESTERDAY: City Man, overbet to even money in the Bongard, fortunately saved us in the straight pool, money we invested into a boxed exacta instead. What a miserable beat! Breaking the best way, Cleon Jones offered plenty of value as a $15.20 straight winner. But that wasn’t us, and City Man was beaten a nose for place. ARRGH!

First of all, Mr. Pricci, I do not appreciate you inquiring as to how many readers I have caused to depart this site. If some did, I am confident that they fall into the 38% or 39% who support, no matter what, the current president of this once great country; a president who’s knowledge of any subject is about as deep as a parking lot puddle. Readers who can’t think for themselves love to follow.
Now to the Pa. Derby: Math Wizard’s form is suspect. Improbable s/be the favorite. Shanghai is over his head. War of Will hasn’t looked good in last two. Spun to Run appears sharp and should go well. Mr. Money really hasn’t faced the ‘big time’ opponents.
So, what to do? What plodder has been around the track already, not once but three times and won all three times? Spun to Run! Like stealing!
I like the Horse for Course angle on ‘Spun’ and using as suggested above. But he hasn’t met this kind either, but your the Parx guy and I have been warned.
As to “do not appreciate,” it goes with the territory, since you first pointed out your having a role in HRI’s early success.
May your steed have a safe and speedy journey…
BTW, I like to think for myself but I’m always interested in what the people I respect have to say, then I decide to play or not. Maybe I should do what those sports touts do, a disclaimer “for informational purposes only…”
