WORST STINKIN BET – FEB 13

By Top Turf Teddy The Prince of Pace

The “Worst Stinkin’ Bet of the Day” for Thursday, February 13, 2020, will be in the 8th Race at Oaklawn Park for Arkansas Bred fillies and mares.

Truths of the Turf:      Don’t be afraid to pray for a winner.”

Was taking the New York Central Railroad from Croton Falls, New York, into Grand Central, as I did each day, struggling for the unrighteous mammon.  Silence is the rule for early morning commuters, and today was no different.  With my Daily Racing Form and King James Bible in hand, awaited the portly, disheveled, half-in-the-bag, conductor to take my ticket.  As I handed him my ticket, he saw my reading materials, he loudly blurted out, “Look over here, this guy’s praying for a winner.”

4-Savedbyanangel is second back from April, and looks heavenly in this spot.  Won’t take any miracles for Santana to get to the winner’s circle, and my WPS tithe will be all over her.  Save your Hail Marys for something important.

  1. Was so intriqued by your “don’t muzzle the ox…” quote that I looked it up and saw it was from Old Testament. I was at a dice table late one night at Tropicana and table was doing well. One guy had a small stuffed animal w/him named “Rocky” which was his good luck charm. I got my buy in of $40.00 up to $1700 (now around 4:00 AM) and figured I would quit when I hit $2000.00. Left table with $300.00. Can anyone say stupid?
